Two studies offer important insights into the immune system’s response to the virus

The Hamilton Spectator wrote about funding for two new research studies by Dawn Bowdish (Pathology and Molecular Medicine/IIDR) and Michael Surette (Medicine/Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences) to identify COVID-19 infection rates and determine why some people are more susceptible to the virus. The researchers also spoke to Global News. 

Publications 

Rahul Chanchlani recently published two articles: “Antibiotic prophylaxis for prevention of urinary tract infections in the first year of life in children with vesicoureteral reflux diagnosed in the workup of antenatal hydronephrosis: A systematic review” published in Pediatric Nephrology (Senior author) and “An overview of rickets in children” published in Kidney International Reports (First author).
