Job Posting – Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neighbourhood Effects and Child Health
Area of Research: Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research opportunity on neighbourhood effects and child health at McGill University. The successful applicant will be involved in research investigating neighbourhood built and social environment exposures in relation to childhood obesity, lifestyle habits and cardiometabolic health using data from a large pan-Canadian study (Canadian Pediatric Weight Management Registry, CANPWR). The overarching aim of this CIHR-funded secondary data analysis is to better understand the role of residential neighbourhood environments on anthropometry, lifestyle behaviours, and cardiometabolic health among children and adolescents followed over time in Canadian weight management programs, and better understand the interplay between contextual factors involved in obesity management.

We are looking for an individual with experience in advanced statistical analyses, including the analysis of correlated data using generalized estimating equations and multi-level modeling. Previous experience with cluster analysis, classification and regression trees, and geographically weighted regression is considered an important asset. The selected candidate will be involved in all aspects of research including cleaning and preparing large observational cohort data, analyzing and interpreting the data, and preparing manuscripts and presentations.
